IMPORTANT: Weather-Related Schedule Changes
September 21, 2017
The Adirondack Marathon Distance Festival hereby announces that it has modified its schedule of events for Sunday, September 24, 2017.

The half marathon will be held starting earlier in Adirondack at 9:10 am, and runners will be bused over from Schroon Lake starting at 7:45 am. The half marathon will follow the usual course back into Schroon Lake Village. The two-person and four-person relays will take place over the half marathon course, along with the half and at the same time.

The full marathon is cancelled due to the high temperatures and humidity forecast. This decision was made after careful analysis in consultation with our medical team and race managers concerning the health risks to the marathon runners.

Marathon runners are invited to run the half marathon and will receive a marathon medal. Marathon runners may also join us next year: Those affected marathoners who return for the 2018 race will be required to pay only a $25 deferral fee upon re-registering. Note: Runners registered for this yearís marathon can do bothórun the half this year and re-register to run the full in 2018 for just $25. (Details on how to register at the deferred rate will be communicated before 2018 registration opens.)

Again runners will be shuttled by bus from Schroon Lake Village starting at 7:45 am to the half marathon start in Adirondack.

Events on Saturday morning in Chestertown (5K and 10K) and the Kids Fun Run on Saturday in Schroon at 2 pm are still on.
