An English teacher and professional Adirondack guide, Al has outdoor experience spanning 25 years of hiking, camping, spin fishing, tying flies and fly fishing the waters of New York, Pennsylvania and Montana.
When people ask him "Why would you leave Montana?", he can honestly reply "In the Adirondacks, humans are still #1 in the food chain, in the Rockies - we aren't."
Al maintains the Fish with a Fly site, a great resource for the discerning fisherman after trout, trout and more trout. He actually contributed these articles over a year ago, but our project manager took that long to get the fishing page written (sorry Alówe haven't forgotten you).
We're lucky he's willing to share his secrets with our visitors, and hope you enjoy his original work.
