North Warren’s annual Summerfest celebration is scheduled for Saturday, July 9, beginning at noon at the Chester Municipal Center ballfield. The day’s lineup features a full day of food concessions, children’s entertainment, health & safety displays, and craft booths. A half chicken or pulled pork sandwich BBQ will begin at 5:00 p.m. (provided by Giffy’s BBQ, cost - $9.50). Tickets can be purchased in advance at the North Warren Chamber building.
The evening’s headline entertainment, “Quickstep,” who recently achieved national recognition by being chosen to participate in “The Rhythm Road: American Music Program Abroad,” will entertain through the creative use of fiddles, guitars and banjo, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. It’s sure to be foot stomping fun!
The summer celebration will end with a fabulous fireworks display at dusk. In case of rain, the fireworks will be held the following evening.
