2010 UPDATE: Due to unsafe conditions, the Krazy Downhill Derby
and Broomball Tournament has been postponed. Formerly scheduled for
Saturday 20 February, the event will now be held on Saturday 6 March.

35th Annual Krazy Downhill Derby and Broomball Tournament
North Warren, NY - The North Warren Chamber of Commerce will hold its 35th Annual Krazy Downhill Derby and Broomball Tournament at Dynamite Hill Ski area on Rte. 8 in Chestertown, Saturday, March 6, 2010.
Broomball registration will be at 9:00 a.m., start time on the ice at 9:30 a.m.† Derby registration is at 11:00 a.m. and start time for the race down the hill is at 12:00 Noon.
Over the years, hundreds of participants armed with handmade, non-motorized contraptions have ventured down the slopes at Dynamite Hill with the hope of taking one of the prizes.† Some of our most creative entries have been ìFlying Carpetî, Chestertown Fire Departmentís famous ìFlying Ladderî, the ìMaidenform Specialî, the ìPoop Tubeî, the ìHousewifeís Dreamî and more.† Sleds are limited to 4 persons per sled.† The race is for all ages, individuals and groups. Come and enter your creation. Prizes will be awarded following the events.
The Broomball Tournament under the pavilion at the top of the hill always proves to be fun for those who like to play on the ice.† Only 4 persons per team are allowed.† Competition can sometimes be pretty challenging, but fun for all.
Activities are open to the general public and all are invited to join the fun. Come join us for Chili and Hot Dogs inside the hut.† For entry forms and further information, call the chamber office at 494-2722.
